    Gilgit History

    Gilgit is the Capital city of Gilgit-Baltistan, an administrative territory of Pakistan. The city of Gilgit constitutes a tehsil within Gilgit District. The city's ancient name was Sargin, later to be known as Gilit, and it is still referred to as Gilit or Sargin-Gilit by local people.


    Naltar Valley

    Naltar is a valley near Gilgit, Hunza and Nomal, Gilgit Baltistan in the Gilgit–Baltistan province of Pakistan. Naltar is 40 km (25 mi) from Gilgit and can be reached by jeeps. Naltar is a forested (pine) village known for its wildlife and magnificent mountain scenery.


    Bagrote Valley

    Bagrote Valley is a valley in the Karakoram Mountain range in Gilgit–Baltistan. Shina language is spoken and understood in all villages of Bagrote. The river flows through this valley that is Bagrote River, supplies water to Jalalabad and Oshikhandass and merges with the Gilgit River.

    Rama Lake is a lake near Astore in Gilgit-Baltistan, Pakistan. It is on the top of the beautiful Astore Valley, with a light cover of oak trees and other greenery. There is not much greenery (as of 2013) due to illegal loging of the forest by locals

    Miar Peak is a mountain in Hispar Valley in the Nagar Valley of Gilgit-Baltistan, Pakistan. It lies southeast of Diran peak (7,257 m) and northwest of Malubiting peak (7,428 m).
